  • 1/2 cup bulgur wheat or tabbouleh
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup mushrooms (any mushrooms), finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup firm tofu, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • oil for cooking

    1. Clean and wash the Bulgur Wheat thoroughly. Soak it in one cup of hot water for 4 minutes, drain and Keep aside.

    2. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl except the oil and mix well.

    3. Divide the mixture into 8 equal parts and shape into patties.

    4. Grillthe patties on a grill or shallow fry using a little oil in a non-stick pan, cooking on both sides till golden brown in colour.
