Burdock Root Pork Rolls

- 8 3-4 cm long sticks Burdock root (as narrow as possible)
- 4 slice Sliced pork belly
- 1/3 tsp Vegetable oil
- 200 ml Water or hot water
- 1 tbsp or less Sugar
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 Green beans (optional)
Directions

1Scrub the burdock root with a brush or with crumpled aluminium foil, and rinse.

2Cut them into 3-4cm lengths.

3Boil until soft enough to pierce through with a skewer.

4Drain and let them cool.

5Tightly wrap the burdock root with the pork.

6Wrap all of them.

7I made a ton, as shown.

8Heat a pan.

9I use non-stick pan, so I didn't add oil.

10Place the meat in the pan with the sealed edge face down, and do not move them after turning on the heat.

11After 1 minute over medium heat, agitate the pan, and evenly brown the meat.

12Add water, and stir-fry to evaporate the liquid to half the amount, without covering.

13Agitate the pan occasionally.

14Check the consistency with a skewer.

15Move to the next step once you can easily pierce through them with a skewer.

16Add the ingredients and marinate well.

17The heat should be medium to low.
-
18Be careful, they are easy to burn.

19Add the boiled green beans.
-
20Once the sauce is nearly gone, they are ready to serve.
