Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 (3/4 oz.) pkg. au jus mix
- 2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. catsup
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- 1/8 tsp. white pepper
- 1/8 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. Burgundy wine
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. thinly sliced Spanish onions
- 1 lb. beef sirloin tips, cut in strips
- salt to taste
Directions

1Heat 3 tablespoons of the margarine and blend in flour.

2Cook and stir 5 minutes.

3Prepare au jus mix as directed with 2 cups water.

4Add au jus gradually to flour, stirring with a whisk until thickened and smooth.

5Simmer 1 minute.

6Add catsup, bouillon cubes dissolved in hot water, pepper, paprika and garlic powder. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.

7Keep warm.

8Makes 2 cups sauce.
