- 1 c. margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 4 sq. semi or unsweetened chocolate
- 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 3/4 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Melt margarine in 2-quart pan over low heat.

2Remove.

3Add sugar until blended.

4Return to low heat.

5Stir rapidly until thoroughly mixed and begins to bubble.

6Add water and corn syrup. Stir frequently; cook until thermometer reads 290°, brittle, about 15 to 20 minutes.

7Remove from heat at once.

8Sprinkle in nuts, quickly mix.

9Pour onto lightly greased cookie sheet.

10Cool at room temperature.

11As crunch cools loosen from sheet with spatula, 2 to 3 times.
