- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 3/4 c. pecans
- 4 oz. chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt butter over low heat in 2-quart saucepan.

2Remove from heat.

3Add sugar.

4Stir until well blended.

5Return to cook on low heat.

6Continue to stir until mixture reaches full rolling boil. Add water and syrup; mix well.

7Cook over low heat, stirring constantly.

8Heat to 390° or soft crack stage.

9Remove from heat, stir in 3/4 cup nuts immediately.

10Pour into lightly greased (buttered) 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

11Spread with spatula.

12Let cool. Remove from pan.

13Place on wax paper.

14Melt and spread chocolate on top.

15Let stand until chocolate is set.

16Break into pieces.
