- 1 lb. carrots
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. slivered almonds
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
Directions

1Peel carrots and cut into 1/4-inch diagonal slices.

2In small saucepan, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil.

3Add carrots; cover and cook until tender-crisp, about 10 minutes.

4Drain well.

5Melt butter over medium heat.

6Stir in almonds, brown sugar and lemon pepper.

7Cook, stirring constantly for 3 minutes or until sugar dissolves.

8Add cooked carrots; toss to coat.

9Makes 4 to 6 servings.
