- 1 qt. sugar
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 pt. boiling water
- oil of peppermint or spearmint
Directions

1Pour boiling water over sugar and butter in saucepan.

2Stir until dissolved.

3Cook until it forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water.

4Pour on well buttered marble slab.

5Drop 2 or 3 drops mint flavor on top.

6When cool enough to handle, pull as long as you can.

7Stretch on countertop.

8Clip into desired sizes.

9Store in an airtight container.
