- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3/4 c. flour
- 2 c. milk chocolate chips, divided
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans, divided
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Grease an 8 or 9-inch square baking pan. In a small bowl, cream the butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.

3Blend in flour.

4Stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup pecans.

5Spread in prepared pan.

6Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.

7Remove from oven.

8Immediately sprinkle remaining 1 cup of chips over surface.

9Let stand 5 to 10 minutes or until chips soften.

10Spread evenly.

11Immediately sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup pecans over top.

12Press gently onto chocolate.

13Cool completely.

14Cut into squares.

15Yields 16 squares.
