- 3/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. white sugar
- 1 unbeaten egg yolk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 to 2 c. flour
Directions

1Cream the butter.

2Gradually add brown sugar and white sugar. Cream well.

3Add egg yolk and vanilla.

4Beat well.

5Blend in flour to form a stiff dough.

6Shape into small balls.

7Put on greased cookie sheets.

8Flatten to size of a 50 cent piece with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.

9Bake at 350° for 7 to 9 minutes, until golden brown.

10Cool and frost with Browned Butter Frosting.
