  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. hot milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/3 c. cake flour
  • 1 1/3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. butter, melted

Directions

    Beat egg yolks with sugar until light and lemon colored. Add milk and flavoring. Add sifted dry ingredients, then fold in melted butter. Bake in 2 waxed paper-lined 9-inch cake pans in a 350° oven 40 to 50 minutes or until done.
