- 1/2 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk*
- 1 Land O Lakes Egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 3/4 cup English toffee bits**
Directions

1Heat oven to 350F.

2Grease and flour 13x9 inch baking pan; set aside.

3Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar in bowl.

4Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.

5Add flour; beat at low speed until well mixed.

6Reserve 1/2 cup for topping.

7Add buttermilk, egg, baking soda and vanilla to remaining flour mixture.

8Continue beating until well mixed.

9Pour batter into prepared pan.

10Combine reserved flour mixture, nuts and toffee in bowl; sprinkle over batter.

11Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
