  • 2/3 c. margarine, softened
  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs

    Cream margarine and sugar until blended, light and fluffy; reduce speed to low. Add flour, milk, cornstarch, oil, baking powder, salt, vanilla and eggs; beat until mixed. Increase speed to high; beat 2 minutes. Spoon batter into 3 (9-inch) pans (greased). Bake 25 minutes at 350°. Frost with Lemon Buttercream Frosting.
