- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Combine the flour and salt.

2Cut in shortening; add buttermilk and stir until well blended.

3Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness on a floured surface.

4Cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.

5Place on lightly greased baking sheet and bake at 425° for 15 to 20 minutes.

6Yields about 1 dozen biscuits.
