  • 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk

    Cut shortening into flour and sugar mixture.

    Add buttermilk. Stir just until dough clings together.

    Turn out on floured surface.

    Knead a few times.

    Roll to 1/2-inch thickness.
