- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 3/4 c. warm water or milk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together; cut in the shortening.

2Mix 1 cup buttermilk and about 3/4 cup water or add some more buttermilk.

3Add liquid until of a good consistency.

4Turn onto a floured surface and knead until it can be handled good.

5Pinch off biscuits; turn in a little oil.

6Bake at 450°.

7Place leftover dough in covered bowl and place in refrigerator until needed. Will keep 3 or 4 days.

8It's better baked the next morning.
