- 2 c. all purpose flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. cold butter or stick margarine
- 3/4 to 1 cup 1% buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp. fat-free milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3Stir in enough buttermilk just to moisten dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead 3 to 4 times.

4Pat or roll to 3/4 inch thickness.

5Cut with a floured 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter.

6Place on a baking sheet coated with nonstick cooking spray.

7Brush with milk.

8Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
