- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup Crisco
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
Directions

1In bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in Crisco until mixture is coarse crumbs.

2Stir in buttermilk. Knead dough gently.

3Roll out to 1/2 inch thick.

4Cut with 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter and place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 450 degrees for 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.

5Makes 10 biscuits.
