- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/3 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Combine first 5 ingredients, mixing well; cut in butter with a pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse meal.

2Add buttermilk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.

3Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead lightly 8 to 10 times.

4Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness; cut with biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

5Bake at 425° for 10 minutes or until golden.
