- 3 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. solid shortening
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Add buttermilk and mix with fork just until holds shape.

2Mix lightly with hands about 10 times.

3Pat dough down to about 1/2-inch thickness.

4Cut out in rounds.

5Bake on ungreased baking sheet in a 450° oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
