  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp. almond flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Cream sugar and shortening.

    Beat in eggs 1 at a time.

    Sift dry ingredients together.

    Blend in alternating with buttermilk. Beat well.
