- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. nuts (optional)
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients well, then add butter, egg yolks and buttermilk until all is well mixed.

2Fold in egg whites last. Bake in loaf pan at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes or until knife test comes out clean.
