  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 c. buttermilk or soured milk
  • 2 Tbsp. hot oil or shortening

    Add egg and buttermilk.

    Mix well. Last, add hot oil.

    Mix and pour quickly into greased 9-inch square baking pan.
