- 2 c. white cornmeal
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 to 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat oven to 500°.

2Mix cornbread to almost pouring consistency.

3Add small amount of oil to iron skillet and heat on burner to almost smoking.

4Pour out excess.

5Pour in batter; it will sizzle.

6Place in oven and cook until golden or browner if you like.

7Turn into plate; butter and enjoy!
