- 2 c. white cornmeal
- 2/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/4 c. oil
Directions

1Mix together buttermilk and eggs.

2Stir together first 6 ingredients.

3Stir well.

4Add milk and eggs mixture, stirring until just moistened.

5Heat oil in baking pan.

6Pour into cornbread mixture and stir.

7Pour back into baking pan (13 x 9-inch).

8Bake at 400° for 20 to 30 minutes.
