- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour (heaping)
- 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix together sugar, flour, egg yolks and buttermilk.

2Beat at low speed with mixer until all ingredients are mixed.

3Pour into a heavy saucepan and add margarine and vanilla.

4Cook until boiling and stir constantly until thick.

5Pour into prepared pie shell. Cool; top with meringue or Cool Whip.
