- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs, separated
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. buttermilk or margarine
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 unbaked pie shell
Directions

1Combine sugar, flour and salt.

2Add egg yolks, buttermilk, butter and pecans; beat well.

3Beat egg whites and cream of tartar at room temperature until stiff peaks form.

4Fold into buttermilk mixture.

5Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell; bake for 45 minutes at 375°.
