  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pie shell
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/3 c. flour

Directions

    Mix flour and sugar.

    Add butter and egg yolks.

    Stir in gradually the buttermilk, vanilla and salt.

    Fold in egg whites. Pour into a 9-inch pie shell.

    Bake at 375° for 45 to 60 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.

    Pie should be lightly browned.
