  • 1 deep-dish shell
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • nutmeg

    Prebake unpricked shell in 425° oven 4 to 5 minutes. Blend together eggs, sugar, melted and cooled butter, flour and vanilla. Gradually stir in buttermilk. Pour into shell and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake in 350° oven 35 to 40 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on rack. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
