- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- speck of salt
- grated nutmeg
- fresh fruit (for garnish)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Place softened butter in a large mixer bowl.

3Add sugar and cream well.

4Add flour, eggs, buttermilk, lemon juice, vanilla and salt.

5Mix well.

6Pour into 9-inch unbaked pie shell.

7Sprinkle nutmeg lightly over top.

8Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until top is golden brown.

9Cool.

10Decorate with sliced strawberries, blueberries or any fruit of your choice. Wonderful!
