- 1 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Cream the Crisco and sugar. Add flavoring.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Spoon batter into greased 10-inch tube pan and bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tests done.
