- 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
- 1 small can milk (add water to make 1 c.)
- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla butternut flavoring
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 c. flour
- 5 eggs
Directions

1Cream shortening, margarine, sugar and salt; add eggs one at a time.

2Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour.

3Fold in flavoring by hand.

4Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

5Do not open door while baking.

6Remove from pan immediately.

7Set oven temperature at 325°.

8Do not preheat oven.

9Start in cold oven.
