Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 c. margarine, softened
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract or grated peel of 1 orange
  • 2 c. quick or old fashioned oats
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch flavored morsels

Directions

    In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. In large mixing bowl, add butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla (or orange peel).

    Gradually beat in flour mixture.

    Stir in oats and butterscotch morsels.

    Spread dough into greased 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.

    Bake at 375° for 18 to 22 minutes or until very lightly browned.

    Cool and cut into 2 x 1 1/2-inch bars.

    Makes about 4 dozen bars.
