Butterscotch Bread Pudding

- 1 c. soft bread cubes
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. margarine or butter, melted
- 2/3 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- dash of salt
- 1/3 c. raisins
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Place bread cubes in buttered 2 1/2-cup casserole.

3Beat eggs slightly; stir in margarine, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and raisins.

4Pour mixture over bread cubes.

5Bake until knife inserted comes out clean, approximately 40 minutes.

6Serve warm with cream or Cool Whip. Yields 2 servings.
