  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 3/4 c. whipping cream
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. butter (not margarine)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

    Combine sugars, corn syrup, cream and water.

    Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves to very hard ball stage (260°).

    Add butter and cook to light crack stage (270°).

    Remove from heat; add salt and vanilla extract.

    Pour into two large shallow pans.

    When cool, break in pieces.
