- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix sugar, cornstarch and beaten yolks with a small amount of the water.

2Mix smooth, then add remaining water. Cook in double boiler until thick, stirring constantly. Add butter and vanilla. Let cool.

3Pour into baked pie crust.

4Cover with meringue from the egg whites and brown.
