- 6 Tbsp. flour (scant)
- 2 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. red syrup (optional)
Directions

1Put part of milk in double boiler; add a little extra white sugar and part of brown sugar to milk.

2Add flour and rest of sugar together; stir in remaining milk and beat in egg yolks, then add with butter into hot mixture.

3Cool until thickened and add to pie crust.
