- 1 c. brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 baked pie shell
Directions

1Place sugar and flour in top of double boiler.

2Add milk slowly.

3Cook in double boiler, stirring constantly, until thickened.

4Add egg yolks (slightly beaten) and cook 3 minutes longer.

5Remove from heat and add butter.

6When cool, add vanilla. Pour into a baked crust.

7Cover with meringue or whipped cream.
