  • 4 Tbsp. cream
  • 1 c. milk
  • 6 level Tbsp. flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • baked 9-inch pie pastry

    In skillet, cook until brown the brown sugar, shortening and cream.

    Add milk, flour and egg yolk.

    Continue cooking until thickened.
