- 1 stick margarine
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. maple flavoring
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. evaporated milk (do not substitute or dilute milk)
Directions

1Cream shortening and margarine.

2Add sugar and beat until fluffy.

3Add eggs, one at a time.

4Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

5Add to mixture alternating with milk and flavoring.

6Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
