- 2 cups brown sugar
- 12 cup butter (it needs to be butter)
- 2 eggs
- 1 12 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- salt
- vanilla
- 12 cup seedless raisin
- 12 cup chopped walnuts
Directions

1Combine sugar and butter in saucepan.

2Heat slowly stirring constantly until butter is melted and mixture is blended.

3Remove from heat, add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Add dry ingredients,.

5Add vanilla, raisins and nuts.

6Blend thoroughly.

7Spread in 13x9x2-inch pan.

8Bake a 350F for 20-25 minutes.

9The quicker these squares are in the oven after the mixture is taken off the stove, the lighter the texture.

10I like them best to put a fine nut on top of icing rather than in squares.
