  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1/3 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 1/3 c. sifted flour
  • 3/4 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Melt oleo; add sugars.

    Mix well.

    Add egg; beat until light colored. Sift flour and soda.

    Stir into sugar mixture.

    Add vanilla and nuts.

    Shape into roll about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Roll in foil or plastic wrap.

    Chill or freeze.

    Slice thin and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350° for about 10 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen.
