Ingredients

  • 2 lb sirlion (or your favorite cut of beef), cubed
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter, not margarine
  • 2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • pinch sea salt
  • pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 clove garlic minced
  • dash worcestershire sauce
  • dash Soy sauce
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 packages Lipton Beefy Onion dry soup mix

Directions

    Heat pan.

    Turn down heat to med high.

    Add butter, onion.

    Saute about 2 minutes.

    Add beef, saute for about 3 minutes now add garlic add saute for about 2 minutes careful to not burn it.

    Add wine and bring to boil, cooking off alcohol and scraping bottom of pan.

    Add remaining ingredients, bring to boil, cover and lower heat to simmer.

    Simmer for 1 hr or until meat is nice and tender.

    Serve with noodles or rice.

    If you want a thicker gravy, mix 2 tbsp corn starch with 2 tbsp of cold water and stir slowly into mixture.

    Simmer for 15 minutes or until thickened.

    Slow cooker: add all ingredients to slow cooker, cook on high 4 hrs or low 6-8 hrs.
