Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 stick room tempature butter (unsalted)
  • 5 tbsp water
  • 1 **** enough flour to lightly flour surface
  • 1 **** forum user said 1/3 lard could be used..

    whisk together all dry ingredients...

    add stick of butter.. use pastry blender to incorporate butter and flour mixture ... should look crumbly..

    add water and mix with pastry blender until larger crumbs form.

    pour it out on floured surface and squeeze the dough into a ball.

    wrap in Saran wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes before rolling out.

    *** I asked on the forum if it could be frozen.

    the suggestion was made to put Saran wrap bundles in a ziplock freezer bag before freezing.
