Ingredients
- 1 small head cabbage (2 lb.)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3 c. water
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 32 oz. jar Ragu with mushrooms
Directions

1Quarter and shred cabbage.

2Spread half in buttered 12-cup baking dish.

3Saute bacon just until fat starts to cook out in frying pan.

4Stir onions and rice in drippings

5in frying pan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until onion is soft and rice is lightly browned.

6Spoon over cabbage in baking dish.

7Cook ground beef and crumble over rice mixture.

8Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

9Top with remaining cabbage.

10Heat Ragu and water to boiling.

11Pour slowly over cabbage.

12Top with bacon.

13Cover and bake at 400°

14for 1 hour.
