Cabbage Casserole

  • 1 (2 1/2 lb.) head cabbage
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 lb. bacon, diced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 tsp. chili powder or more
  • 1/2 c. catsup

Directions

    Cut up raw cabbage and fill a 3-quart baking dish about 3/4 full.

    Saute bacon, onions and pepper.

    Add tomato sauce, corn, chili powder and catsup.

    Simmer a few minutes.

    Pour over cabbage and bake in 350° oven for about 30 minutes.

    Stir and bake another 5 to 10 minutes.

    Serves 4 to 6.
