Cabbage Casserole

  • 4 - 5 c. chopped cabbage
  • 1 1/2 c. crushed corn flakes
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup (or grated cheese)

Directions

    Soak cabbage in cold water for 30 minutes.

    Drain.

    Mix corn flakes with margarine for crust.

    Add cabbage and salt to taste. Heat mayonnaise, milk and celery soup together.

    Pour over cabbage.

    Top with cheese.

    Bake at 325° for 40 minutes (uncovered).

    If you like less crispy, cover and cook 20 minutes more.
