- 1 cabbage, cut coarsely
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 1/2 c. cooked rice
- 5 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 small chopped onion
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. oleo or butter
Directions

1Cook cut-up cabbage in boiling water until almost tender. Drain.

2Put half of the cabbage in bottom of a greased 2-quart casserole reserving the rest for the top.

3Mix all the rest of the ingredients together, except the milk and remaining cabbage.

4Put into casserole.

5Pour milk over it.

6Put cabbage on top.

7Dot with butter.
-
8Do not cover.
-
9Bake at 350° for about 2 hours. Watch so the cabbage doesn't get too burned on top.
