- 1 medium cabbage
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, chopped
- 1 can mushroom soup (10 3/4 oz.)
- 1 c. dried bread crumbs
- salt and red pepper (cayenne) to taste
Directions

1Coarsely chop cabbage.

2Remove core and boil until tender in salted water.

3Set aside.

4Wilt onion in melted butter.

5Add cheese.
-
6When melted, add soup.
-
7When blended, add boiled cabbage and mix well.

8Add spices.

9Put into 1 1/2-quart greased casserole.

10Sprinkle bread crumbs on top and bake 20 to 30 minutes in 350° oven.
