Cabbage Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 medium cabbage, chopped fine
  • 3/4 stick margarine
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cut in cubes
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 c. bread crumbs
  • salt and cayenne pepper to taste

Directions

    Boil cabbage in salt water until tender.

    Saute onion in margarine.

    Add cheese.
  4. 4
    When cheese has melted, add soup.

    Mix well.

    Drain cabbage and add to other ingredients.

    Add bread crumbs and salt and pepper to taste.

    Pour in 2-quart baking dish and bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.

    Place additional bread crumbs on top and bake an extra 5 minutes.
