Cabbage Casserole

  • 6 c. coarsely shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can undiluted tomato soup
  • salt and pepper

    Grease bottom and sides of 2-quart casserole.

    Place 3 cups cabbage in it.

    Saute onion; add ground beef.

    Heat through, but do not brown.

    Spread on top of cabbage.

    Add remaining 3 cups cabbage.

    Top with soup, spreading to cover.

    Bake in 350° oven until cabbage is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
